ANSEF grants are submitted electronically through the ANSEF portal accessed by clicking on the link below. To enter the ANSEF portal, the Principal Investigator (PI) needs a unique email address that identifies him/her with submissions. This email address is the login username of the PI, and is used for all future correspondences with ANSEF.
If you have submitted proposals to ANSEF since 2005 through the web portal, you can use the same email address you've used before to log into the system. This will allow you to access your past proposals as well as your past Curriculum Vitae. However, you will need to reset your password to do so: 1) Go to the portal page and click "Forgot Password?"; 2) Type your old email address and click "Send me an email...". 3) You will receive an email with instructions on how to reactivate your account.
New PI's will need to register the first time they access the portal by clicking "Register" on the portal page and following the instructions.
A single PI may submit more than one proposal with the same email after logging into the system. All such proposals would hence share the same Curriculum Vitae.
All applications are stored securely on the ANSEF website. The PI may log in and edit/change his/her application(s) as many times as he/she wishes until the deadline of the year's competition. You do not need to "submit" your proposals: your proposals are automatically submitted on the date of the deadline and you will receive a confirmation email at that point. Please note that you need to submit a complete proposal, with all the required fields/files; otherwise your proposal will not be considered. The proposals are reviewed by ANSEF referees only after the competition's deadline is passed.
The ANSEF portal should also be used to submit mid-term and final reports to ANSEF. You will receive instructions by email on how to do so once the awards are announced.
It is strongly encouraged that a PI logs out after each editing session to assure that application data is not made accessible to unauthorized users of his/her computer. Closing the web browser after each session is also recommended.
To access the ANSEF portal properly, you should use an up-to-date web browser: Safari 3.0+ or Firefox 2+, both available freely via download for Windows and Mac; Firefox is also available for Linux and UNIX machines. You will also need to have Javascript and cookies enabled. Note that Internet Explorer for Windows is not compatible with the portal and will display certain tables incorrectly.
Before accessing to the portal, download the template Word document to use to prepare the main content part of your proposals by clicking here.
